the last week or so has been hard enough watching the people of Haiti suffer, and even die on tv and not be able to assist them, but now that I have worked so hard to educate and promote myself to make a difference in the world. Last June I suddenly was laid off from the YMCA. I had earned my stripes and had found a skill and talent I never thought I'd have. Supervising kids. It took me 5 years to become a Supervisor and have the trust, and belief from others that I had what it takes to make that difference in there lives. I got paid dirt, but the satisfaction of the parents being so thankful and praising me as well as the kids welcoming me ecstatically when I walked in each day, was priceless. Now its January, and the beginning of a new week. The First Responders, and Rescue teams are returning home. I got accepted to a program, am motivated after 7 months of sitting on my toosh... and Ive hit a roadblock... Funds... I know how to promote, but nobody wants to help the cause. I can barely get my immediate family to donate to help me raise the money to get myself to the children of Haiti. I leave March 15... Can anyone give me any input on how to raise money FASTTT...?
